We have just moved into our home and wanted to get our furnace checked out. It was extremely easy to schedule and they even had same day options. Bear came out for us and was prompt and on time, let me know when he was on his way, and was extremely polite and kind to our home. He had great recommendations and didn't try to upsell us on anything, just honest opinions for us in the future. We will definitely have Bear back!

I heard about Chisholm through federal and I’m glad I did. My experience with them is always fantastic and you can tell they keep a very high standard of their employees because they are always very friendly and professional. I would say their pricing is reasonable, however, I haven’t really shopped around for the jobs I’ve had them do for me. The service plan is nice to have so then all their routine inspections are covered. I would say working with them is very worth the money because of how much I trust the company and technicians to do a good job and treat me fair. They do upsell sometimes, but it is never pushy and super straightforward without pressuring.

I called to get my air duct checked because it was blowing not hot in my bathroom . Jordan "Bear" Lee came out, very professional, through, and friendly. I had the thermostat set on emergency heating, he corrected it to regular heating. He checked the air ducts in the attic, recommended at some point it needed some work. I purchased their service plan, twice a year they will come out and check . He was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Great job Jordan "Bear" Lee. 😀

Shower Options to Fit Your Bathroom and Budget

There are more shower styles available today than ever before, and picking the right one comes down to your space, your budget, and how you actually use your bathroom. Tiled walk-in showers remain popular because they offer a custom look and can be built to almost any size or shape. Prefabricated shower units are a great option if you want a faster installation with less mess, and they hold up well over time with proper care.

For homeowners who want a spa-like experience, features like rain showerheads, built-in benches, and multiple showerheads are worth considering. Frameless glass doors give a shower a clean, modern look and tend to make smaller bathrooms feel more open. If accessibility is a concern, low-threshold or curbless showers make it easier for family members of all ages and abilities to use the space safely.

Greer’s warm, humid climate for much of the year also plays a role in material choice. Some tile and grout options handle moisture and mildew better than others, and our team can walk you through which materials will hold up best in our local conditions so your new shower stays looking good for years to come.

What to Know Before You Start Your Shower Project

Before any work begins, it helps to think through a few practical details. Your budget will shape a lot of the decisions ahead, from the type of shower base to the tile or surround material you choose. It is worth deciding early on whether you are looking for a simple refresh or a full bathroom remodel, since that will affect both cost and timeline.

Plumbing access is another important factor, especially in older Greer homes where pipes may need updating to support a new shower valve or a different shower location. Our older neighborhoods, in particular, sometimes have plumbing that was never designed for modern water pressure or multiple showerheads, so an inspection before installation can save headaches later.

It also helps to think about how the new shower fits with the rest of your bathroom. Matching flooring, updating fixtures, or repainting can make a shower installation feel like a complete bathroom upgrade rather than just one new feature. Our team is happy to talk through these decisions with you and offer suggestions based on what has worked well in homes across the Greer area.

Our Shower Installation Process

When you choose Chisholm Plumbing, AC & Furnace Repair for your shower installation, we start with an in-home consultation to review your current setup and discuss your goals for the new space. We measure the area, check the plumbing, and discuss material options, so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins.

Once you approve the plan and pricing, our team gets to work removing the old shower and preparing the space for the new one. This includes any plumbing adjustments needed to support your new fixtures, as well as proper waterproofing behind the walls and beneath the base. Waterproofing is especially important in our region, since Greer’s humidity can lead to hidden moisture problems if a shower is not sealed correctly from the start.

From there, we install the shower base or pan, build out the walls or surround, and add your chosen fixtures, including shower heads, valves, and any glass doors or curtains. We test everything thoroughly before we consider the job complete, checking water pressure, drainage, and temperature control so that your new shower works exactly as it should from day one. We clean up the work area completely before we leave, so all you have to do is enjoy your new shower.
